Stanwell has launched a program to “power up” the early careers of engineers.

Six engineering roles will be available at Stanwell’s three sites:  Tarong power stations in the South Burnett, Stanwell Power Station near Rockhampton and in Brisbane.

The program is open to recent graduates and engineers with up to five years of post-grad experience, offering experience in real-world energy operations, mentorship from industry leaders, and tailored development pathways.

The successful applicants will be given hands-on experience, professional development, and a genuine work-life balance.

Stanwell General Manager Southern Generation Mick Joy said the program was a “game-changer” for engineers looking to build their careers in regional Queensland.

“This program is a chance to work on real projects, with real impact, in one of the most critical industries,” Mr Joy said.

“At Tarong power stations, our engineers are immersed in complex systems and real operational challenges from day one.

“It’s a place where you can grow professionally while enjoying the lifestyle and community of the South Burnett.”

The available roles span mechanical, electrical, process, and computer science engineering disciplines, with flexible start dates and relocation support available.

Each role offers flexible work options including four-day weeks at the regional sites and work-from-home arrangements for Brisbane.

Applications will close on August 3.
