The annual Power Up Show, Shine and Swap Meet at Nanango has given another “powerful” boost to the not-for-profit Nanango Sporting Association.
The association represents the groups which use the Alan Downie Sports Fields, ie. the Nanango Kennel Club, Nanango Cricket Club and Nanango Panthers Soccer Club.
There are a number of regular show’n’shine events held in the South Burnett but Power Up is always one of the most popular.
Profits go towards maintaining the grounds and facilities in Burnett Street.
Cars and motorbikes came from across the South Burnett – and further afield – to compete for a range of trophies (see below) on Sunday, July 13.
This year, a fundraising raffle was also organised by the South Burnett Fun Flyers club to raise funds for the McGrath Foundation.
There was live music and a coffee van as well as the canteen and a sausage sizzle manned by Kennel Club volunteers.
Power Up is sponsored by the Tarong Power Stations and Meandu Mine, the South Burnett Regional Council, Stanwell and Shannons Insurance.
