A large fire burning near Proston-Boondooma Road had fire crews scrambling on Thursday afternoon.
The emergency began about 12:15pm near Butler Drive at Proston.
At one stage 12 fire crews were in action, both rural and town brigades.
At 2:25pm, the Queensland Fire Department issued an “Advice” notice to Proston residents to stay informed, saying there was no immediate danger but conditions could change.
A QFD spokesperson said the fire was contained by 3:30pm and no structures had been under threat.
At 5:00pm, there was one fire crew still on site, blackening down the area.
