Wild Horse FM at Yarraman has launched a new monthly eight-page newspaper aimed at Yarraman and Blackbutt residents.
The publication is called “99.7% Local News”, reflecting the radio station’s broadcasting frequency, 99.7 FM.
It has been put together by station volunteers with the help of contributed content from local residents.
Editor Anne Clarke said the purpose was to bring local stories and local events to the community.
“We are striving to bring awareness to everyone in our broadcast area that Wild Horse is here for the community, to unite the community and be an outlet for the voice for the community,” Anne said.
“It will be a monthly newsletter which is distributed by Australia Post to Yarraman residents and bulk-dropped to businesses throughout the area.”
It will also be available at the Yarraman Pharmacy, IGA, Yarraman Wellness Centre, the Farmhouse Coffee Lounge, YCI and Pink Flamingo.
Outside Yarraman, it will be available at Cooyar (Cooyar Hotel), Maidenwell (Maidenwell Trading Post, Maidenwell Hotel and Maidenwell Treasures), Blackbutt (Blackbutt Hardware, Blackbutt Medical Centre and Visitor Information Centre) and Nanango (Visitor Information Centre, Nanango Neighbourhood Centre and Nanango Library).

A great big THANK YOU for the wonderful support from Tarong Power Stations and Meandu Mine.
