Online betting company Sportsbet has purchased the naming rights for the Nanango Race Club for the next two years.
A media release from the company on Tuesday said the club was now officially renamed the Sportsbet Nanango Racing Club.
The club will receive promotional support from Sportsbet’s marketing team.
Sportsbet has also bought the naming rights to the Bundaberg Racing Club.
“Racing is the lifeblood of rural and regional communities across Australia,” Sportsbet spokesperson Damian Ryan said.
“We’re proud to support Queensland’s racing future.”
Nanango club president Wayne Hancock said there were “plenty of challenges” facing racing clubs and Nanango had been no exception.
“To be able to get this level of support from Sportsbet is a major boost for racing in our area and we’re excited to welcome new and old race fans with a fresh look and renewed momentum,” he said.
The Nanango Cup will be raced on August 9.
