The second phase of Kingaroy Regional Art Gallery’s two-month Queensland Winter Craft Festival is under way.

The July exhibitions have filled the main galleries with “winter warmers”, including colourful quilts, felted scarves and luxury alpaca woolies.

The Birds Of A Feather group has taken over Gallery 1 with “Silver Creations” which features patchwork, sashiko stitching and machine embroidery as well as jewellery and visual art.

In Gallery 2, Collective Creations has “Sojourn”, a collection of textile artworks created by local artists in mixed media.

Shady Pines Alpacas have filled Gallery 3 with “Pacadorable”, winter accessories and small artworks crafted from alpaca wool by Julia and Kirsten Jeffery.

The July exhibitions were officially opened by Cr Danita Potter last Friday.
