A 69-year-old man has been charged with going armed in public to cause fear and other offences after police were called twice to a Woolooga property this week.
A police spokesperson said information about an unregistered firearm led Goomeri and Kilkivan police to visit the Edwards Road property on Monday.
They allegedly seized a rifle and ammunition.
They were called back to the same property about 10:30am the next day after reports a man was damaging property with a weapon and shouting threats.
When they arrived, police allegedly located a man with an axe handle.
“A search was executed and police allegedly located and seized 1.124kg of cannabis,” the spokesperson said.
The bags of cannabis were allegedly located in a freezer at the property,
The Woolooga man was arrested at the scene and then charged with going armed in public, trespass and possession of dangerous drugs.
He is due to appear in Gympie Magistrates Court on July 21.
Investigations are continuing.
