The first of the South Burnett Regional Council’s planned “community catch-ups” to discuss its new draft Corporate and Community plans will go ahead this week.

Local councils are required by law to produce a new Corporate Plan every five years to guide decision-making and the allocation of resources.

Residents have been invited to catch up with Mayor Kathy Duff and her fellow Councillors at Wondai Memorial Hall on Tuesday (April 15) from 5:30pm to 7:30pm.

Light refreshments will be served afterwards.

The Wondai event will be followed by catch-ups at other towns around the region during the next few weeks:

• Maidenwell Town Hall – Wednesday, April 23 (1:00pm to 3:00pm)

• Blackbutt Town Hall – Wednesday, April 23 (5:30pm to 7:30pm)

• Proston Hall – Wednesday, April 30 (1:00pm to 3:00pm)

• Murgon Town Hall – Wednesday, April 30 (5:30pm to 7:30pm)

• Nanango RSL Tara’s Hall – Wednesday, May 14 (5:30pm to 7:30pm)

Residents who cannot make it to one of these daytime or evening events, can also share their feedback online.

The draft Corporate Plan and Community Plans are available on Council’s website where residents can also have their say.

Feedback for the draft Corporate and Community Plans closes on Friday, May 16, 2025.
