Wondai Regional Art Gallery has burst into colour for April with its annual Garden Expo Art Competition.
Artists young and old from across the South Burnett and beyond have entered works that depict a “garden” theme.
They are in a range of media … from photographs and collages to paper tole and watercolours.
Gallery co-ordinator Elaine Madill said the variety of types of works on display had made judging the exhibition very difficult.
The hard task went to Mundubbera artist Suzie Capewell.
Prize money was donated by the Wondai Garden Expo Committee.
“We enjoy donating profits back into the community such as the art gallery and other community events around the region,” president Damien Biltoft said.
Damien presented the lucky winners with their prizes.
Ages 4-6 received art equipment while all the other categories received cash prizes.
The Wondai Autumn Garden Expo will be held at the Wondai Sportsgrounds on April 19 (8:00am to 4:30pm) and April 20 (8:00am to 1:00pm).
Entry is $5 for adults or $8 for a two-day pass. Children under 15 are free.
