Nanango Scorpions will be taking on the Wooroolin Warriors in the Grand Final of the South Burnett Senior Cricket competition this Saturday (March 22).
Play will get under way at 12:30pm at the Alan Downie Sports Fields in Burnett Street, Nanango.
Warriors earned the berth after downing the Wondai Wolves last Saturday at Wondai Cricket Ground.
Warriors won the toss and elected to bat.
They set a daunting target of 171, all out in the last over.
Top scorers were Matt Nesbitt (47 not out) and John McDonald (32).
Jeremy Hobbs (3/25 off five overs) and Lyndon Hopkins (3/26 off eight) were the best of the Wondai bowlers.
In reply, Wolves were bowled out in just 16 overs, making 61 runs.
Top scorer was Lyndon Hopkins with 16 runs.
Warriors’ bowlers were deadly: John-Paul Schultz (3/19 off four overs), Archie Koehler (3/18 off five) and Roger Hoare (2/0 off two!).
