Nanango Scorpions earned the first berth in the South Burnett Senior Cricket Grand Final by downing Wondai Wolves by seven wickets at Wondai last Saturday.
Wolves won the toss and elected to bat in the Qualifying Final but were all out for 136 in the 32nd over.
Top scorers were Reg Wenham (33), Lyndon Hopkins (29) and Jackson Merritt (25 runs).
Nicholas Scherger (2/16 off six overs) and Josephine Black (2/13 off three overs) were the pick of the Nanango bowlers.
Nanango (3/138) overtook the target in the 23rd over.
Lochlan Cullen (59 not out) and Tom Town (51 not out) steadied the ship after the Scorpions lost their own batters cheaply.
Reg Wenham (2/26 off 5.3 overs) finished with the best bowling figures for Wondai.

In the Elimination Final, Wooroolin Warriors defeated Murgon Diggers by 71 runs at Lyle Vidler Oval in Kingaroy, putting an end to Diggers’ 2024-25 campaign.
Diggers won the toss and sent Wooroolin in to bat.
Openers John McDonald (83 runs off 78 balls) and James Searle (24) got Warriors off to a great start but the Diggers’ bowlers also worked hard, limiting Warriors’ scoring opportunities.
Andrew Roderick (3/12 off 4.2 overs) and Charlie Sippel (3/36 off six) were lethal.
Wooroolin were all out for 180 in the 34th over.
But Murgon fell short in reply, all out for 109 in the 25th over.
Damien Sippel (32) and Ashley Louis (20) were the top-scorers.
John-Paul Schultz (3/28 off four overs) and John McDonald (3/28 off 4.5 overs) were the best of the Wooroolin bowlers.

Gympie A Grade Grand Final
The scheduled Day 3 of the Gympie A Grade Two-Day Grand Final between Wooroolin Warriors and Murgon Crusaders in Gympie was cancelled due to Tropical Cyclone Alfred.
As Wooroolin took first innings points last weekend, they were declared the 2024-25 Gympie A Grade Two-Day champions.
