A Nanango man has been lost for words after scratching his way to $150,000 in an Instant Scratch-It.
The winning $10 scratchie was bought at the Nanango Newsagency.
A spokesperson for The Lott said the overjoyed winner couldn’t contain his excitement, whisking his wife away for a celebratory lunch.
“I’ve been lost for words ever since I scratched the ticket,” he said.
“I kept checking over the ticket to see make sure I wasn’t making a mistake.
“I keep scratching my head. It’s still so hard to believe this is all real.
“I’ve always enjoyed playing Instant Scratch-Its tickets. I usually treat myself to one a week to enjoy over coffee.
“It’s going to help us in so many ways. Thank you.”
Nanango Newsagency owner Alison Warren said she was excited to hear her outlet had sold a top prize-winning ticket.
“How exciting! We keep telling our customers that we feel due for another big win,” she said.
“We’ll be happily sharing this wonderful news and reminding our customers that dreams can come true.
“We’ve celebrated several major lottery wins over the years and it’s nice to see our commemorative plaque wall continue to grow.
“We wish our winner all the very best, and hope that this win will make their life a little easier and bring them happiness. We also want to thank them for supporting our outlet.”
