The Department of the Environment has temporarily closed many local National Parks and State Forests ahead of Cyclone Alfred to ensure public safety.
Closed until at least March 14 are:
- Benarkin State Forest
- Boat Mountain Conservation Park
- Bunya Mountains National Park
- McEuen State Forest
- Ravensbourne National Park
- The Palms National Park
- Wondai State Forest
- Yarraman State Forest
Closed until at least March 10 are:
- Imbil State Forest
- Jimna State Forest
- Wrattens National Park
