South Burnett Regional Council has been honoured with an award in Snap Send Solve’s “Solver of the Year” Awards.

“Snap Send Solve” is an app which allows mobile phone users to quickly “snap” a photo of a problem (eg. a pothole or dangerous tree) and “send” it to their local council (with the location automatically embedded) so the council or government authority can “solve” it.

South Burnett Regional Council won a Top 5 Councils Award in the 2024 awards.

These awards were presented to the five councils which had the highest overall star rating across Queensland.

South Burnett Regional Council achieved a 4.14 overall rating.

“We’re proud to work with so many fantastic councils across Australia and Aotearoa New Zealand, helping them better serve and support their communities,” Snap Send Solve founder Danny Gorog said.

“The Solver of the Year Awards recognise and reward councils and organisations prioritising community amenity and wellbeing. We look forward to continuing our work with South Burnett Regional Council to better our shared spaces in the year ahead.”

South Burnett Mayor Kathy Duff said many residents use the app.

“It is a credit to our Council team that South Burnett Regional Council has been included in the top five ‘Solvers of the Year’.”

The other four Queensland councils honoured were Bundaberg, Cairns, Sunshine Coast and Western Downs.
