Author and business consultant Dr Tim Baker will be the special guest speaker at the South Burnett Regional Council’s Australia Day Awards ceremony in Blackbutt on Saturday (January 25).
Dr Baker was appointed an Australia Day Ambassador in 2016 as since then has spoken at a number of Australia Day events around Queensland.
As well as writing 19 books, Dr Baker has shared his expertise in leadership development at seminars, workshops and keynote addresses in 13 countries.
His academic credentials include a PhD in organisational development and degrees in behavioural science and education.
His clients have included Boeing, Singapore Airlines, Unilever, Lenovo, IBM and MASTECH Asia Pacific and he has worked with clients ranging from the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra to Al Safi Foods in Saudi Arabia.
“Australia Day is an opportunity to showcase what’s great about the South Burnett and to celebrate the individuals and groups in our community who stand out in their chosen field or that go above and beyond to support others,” South Burnett Mayor Kathy Duff said.
“Australia Day Ambassador Dr Tim Baker’s presence on our regional day of celebration will make this year one to remember.”
Council’s Australia Day Awards will be presented from 3:00pm on Saturday at Blackbutt Memorial Hall.
