A special graduation ceremony was held earlier this month at TAFE Queensland’s Nurunderi campus to celebrate Cherbourg’s latest bunch of graduates.

TAFE Queensland Faculty Director Paula Hughes welcomed the graduates, their teachers, family and friends to the event.

There was applause from the crowd as each of the graduates was presented with their commemorative certificates.

Three students graduated with diplomas: Darrie Lea (Diploma of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Primary Health Care Management); Anne-Maree Walsh (dual Diploma of Business and Leadership and Management); and Kenneth Day (Diploma in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Education).

Nurunderi campus co-ordinator Tabitha Bleys said it was a joy to celebrate the students’ academic achievements and their growth, resilience and dedication.

“Our graduates can look to the future knowing they are well-prepared for what comes next,” she said.

“With their confidence and skills, they can pursue further training or employment in their chosen fields.

“We can’t wait to see where their skills will take them and on behalf of the TAFE Queensland team, we wish them all the best with the next stage of their journeys.”
