The lease on one of the South Burnett’s best-known tourism businesses has hit the market.

The Bunyas complex, which is owned by the Kratzmann family, includes the restaurant and café, the general store and bottle shop, the whisky bar and six motel units.

All these businesses are included in the lease package.

Chris Dellit, from GSE Hospitality Brokers, said The Bunyas holds great potential for growth.

“Thousands of visitors make the annual trip to the Bunyas as their getaway experience throughout the year, and we’re seeing this increasing as south-east Queensland grows,” he said.

The business employs more than 20 staff, mostly from the nearby region.

Mr Dellit said he expected considerable interest in the lease.

“There is staff and owner accommodation on site, which makes owning and managing the business that much easier,” he said.

The business was established in 1969 as a small kiosk selling fresh vegetables, cold drinks and confectionery.

It has grown over the past 55 years to cater for the increased demand from tourists.
