Wondai’s Coronation Park was buzzing on Saturday with people attending the monthly Wondai Country Markets.

The regular market attendance was swelled by voters who popped across the road after doing their democratic duty at the Wondai Memorial Hall polling booth.

The markets are organised by Elaine Madill and the Wondai Markets committee, but this month there was an added attraction … community stalls invited along by the Wondai Business & Development Association.

Not-for-profit stalls were arranged near the Percy Iszlaub soundshell where the Wondai Town and District Band was also playing.

The groups sharing information included the Wondai RSL Auxiliary, Wondai Men’s Shed, Wondai Hospital Auxiliary, CROW-FM, Neighbourhood Watch and Wondai Probus Club.

Volunteers from the Wondai Lions Club were also busy at their barbecue, a task they perform at every Wondai market.

The Wondai Country Markets are held on the fourth Saturday of every  month, from 7:00am to noon,
