The two South Burnett teams taking part in the Gympie A Grade cricket competition were in action at home on Saturday.
At Lyle Vidler Oval, Wooroolin Warriors took on Gympie Valleys, while at Murgon Showgrounds, Murgon Crusaders faced Gympie Colts.
Both games were part of a Two-Day competition.
At the end of Day 1 in Kingaroy:
Valleys won the toss and elected to bowl.
Wooroolin Warriors declared at 7/286 with Jackson Kerkow (65) and Kieran Askin (57 not out) top-scoring.
Gympie Valleys were 4/94 with Kieran Askin taking 3/21.
At the end of Day 1 in Murgon:
Colts won the toss and elected to bowl.
Murgon Crusaders were 190 all out with Riley Sippel (50) and Lehman Brunjes (49) top-scoring.
Gympie Colts were 5/61 with Tom Patton taking 3/14.
Day 2 will be played at the same venues next Saturday.

Goodchild Shield
Round 2 of the four-team Goodchild Shield competition will be played this weekend, with the South Burnett Boars taking on Gympie at Murgon Showgrounds.
Representing the South Burnett will be Trent Riddell, Lehmann Brunjes, Brenton Polzin, Harry Sippel, Nathan Roderick, Lochlan Burrows, Kieran Askin, Michael Wostear, Nicholas Sanewski, Riley Sippel, Tom Carney and Kyron Tunstall.
NB. Round 1 which saw the South Burnett (3/149) defeat Bundaberg (148 all out) was played at Salter Oval in Bundaberg on September 29. South Burnett won the toss and elected to bowl. Michael Wostear took 4/33 off eight overs; Lehman Brunjes top-scored with 80 off 86 balls, including 12 fours and 3 sixes.
