Bunya Mountains and Bell residents living in the Callide Electorate who want to vote early in the Queensland Election face a long trek.

Early voting locations in the Callide opened on Monday in Gayndah, Chinchilla, Biloela, Gin Gin and, of course, Brisbane (where anyone from any electorate can vote early at Brisbane City Hall).

The Callide Electorate stretches from the Banana Shire Council boundary in the north to the western half of the Bunya Mountains and Bell in the south, an area of more than 74,000sq km.

Early voting will continue daily, from 8:00am to 6:00pm (excluding weekends) until October 25.

The actual Election Day is Saturday, October 26, where polling booths will be open from 8:00am to 6:00pm.

Remember, voting is compulsory, and ALL squares must be numbered on your ballot paper.
