FLASHBACK: Representatives from Bill Hull Car Centre and other corporate supporters at the culmination of last year’s Christmas Food Drive

October 15, 2024

South Burnett Online is proud to be joining other local businesses in supporting this year’s Christmas Food Drive.

We all know there’s a lot of families doing it tough at present, so let’s try to make it a happier Christmas for everyone in the community.

The organisers of the annual appeal are looking for these most-needed items:

  • Spreads – Vegemite, jams, honey
  • Foodstuffs – Dry pasta, noodles, rice, sauces, coffee, tea, Milo, soft drinks
  • Long life products – Milk, juice, custard
  • Canned food – Meat, vegetables, fish, fruit
  • Baking items – Cake mixes, flour, sugar
  • Nibbles – Chips, pretzels, nuts, lollies, chocolates
  • Baby products – Nappies, wipes, baby food, formula sachets only
  • Christmas items – Puddings, shortbread, bon bons, candy canes, Christmas cakes, decorations
  • Gift vouchers

Please make sure the items are within their use-by dates and the packets are not open!

Items can be dropped off in Kingaroy at Bill Hull Car Centre, 11 Avoca Street.

Businesses have also been invited to set a collection area within their office or break room to encourage staff members and customers to contribute items.

The donations will be distributed via South Burnett CTC and Eva’s Place.

Donations will be accepted until December 13.
