There’s a fresh face at the helm of a well-known Lamb Street business in Murgon … but the new owner is no stranger to the local community.
Murgon Business and Development Association president Amy Wicks has officially taken over ownership of Murgon Real Estate from Margaret and Gary Long.
Murgon Real Estate has been a key part of the Murgon streetscape since 1968, and Amy is just the third owner for the business.
The agency was established in 1986 by Glen and Joy Vonhoff, with Margaret and Gary Long taking over in 2004.
Amy said she was thrilled to be leading Murgon Real Estate into the future.
“I feel incredibly privileged to have been given the opportunity to take over Murgon Real Estate,” she said.
“The history of this business is something I deeply respect, and I am committed to preserving the legacy that Glen, Joy, Margaret and Gary have built over the years.
“It’s an honour to be entrusted with a business that has been such a vital part of our community for nearly 40 years, and I look forward to continuing its growth and success.”
Margaret and Gary Long said it had been a privilege to serve the community for the past two decades.
“We couldn’t be happier to hand over the reins to Amy. We know she will continue to provide the same dedication and professionalism that Murgon Real Estate is known for,” Margaret said.
