The Festival Of Small Halls – a unique program which brings touring musicians to smaller communities – is visiting the local region as part of its Spring tour of Queensland.

The featured artists are international singer-songwriter Kellie Loder, from Canada, and Brisbane-based fiddle and guitar players Conor Mcdonald and Jan Van Dijk.

The festival rolls into Booubyjan tonight (September 25) and then will visit Ironpot Hall on October 10.

At Ironpot, the visiting musicians will be backed up by the South Burnett’s own MISfITZ duo.

Tickets for both events can be booked online or by phoning local residents:

  • Ironpot – Annie 0412-341-866, Barb (07) 4164-8191 or Carolyn (07) 4164-8147.

Meals will catered by the local hall committees and licensed bars will be running.

Bus transport for the Ironpot evening will also be available from Kingaroy and Kumbia, but bookings are essential.

Footnote: The Festival of Small Halls has previously brought musical events to Goomeri (2015), Cooranga North (2018) and Kumbia (2021).
