A young woman has been airlifted to hospital with serious injuries after a single-vehicle crash at Harlin on Friday morning.

The woman’s vehicle left the D’Aguilar Highway and struck a tree.

The crash then sparked a fire which spread from the vehicle to surrounding grassland.

Emergency services – including four fire crews – were called to the incident about 10:50am.

A QAS spokesperson said the woman was flown in a stable condition to the Princess Alexandra Hospital in Brisbane with leg and chest injuries.

A man who witnessed the crash was also assessed by paramedics at the scene, but declined transport to hospital.

A Qld Fire spokesperson said the grass fire was extinguished by 11:25am.
