Police have charged a teenager with 10 offences following an alleged carjacking in Toowoomba on Monday afternoon.
The vehicle, a white Honda HR-V, was located hours later in Cherbourg.
Police will allege that about 4:30pm on Monday, two males approached an 85-year-old woman as she was getting into her vehicle at the Wilsonton Shopping Centre car park in Bridge Street.
The woman suffered minor head and arm injuries when she was pulled from her vehicle.
The Honda was found abandoned in Cherbourg about 2:40am the following day.
Following investigations by Toowoomba detectives, a 16-year-old Rockville boy was arrested in Toowoomba on Tuesday.
He has been charged with two counts of enter dwelling and commit, two counts of unlawful use of a motor vehicle, three counts of enter premises and commit, and one count each of stealing, armed robbery, and enter premises with intent.
He was denied bail and was due to appear in Toowoomba Children’s Court on Wednesday.
A police spokesperson said investigations to locate the second person involved were continuing.
