Police have charged two people following a pursuit through Blackbutt, Yarraman and Nanango on Monday afternoon.

A police spokesperson said it would be alleged that about 10:00pm on Monday, two people broke into property in Chermside and stole a Range Rover.

About 1:00pm on Monday, a police helicopter tracked the vehicle to the Blackbutt area.

Police deployed tyre spikes but the vehicle continued on through Yarraman to Nanango.

The two occupants abandoned the 4WD on the Burnett Highway at Sandy Ridges.

The pair then fled on foot but were tracked by a police Dog Squad.

They then allegedly stole a John Deere Gator side-by-side vehicle from a Sandy Ridges Road property.

Police tracked the UTV to a nearby vacant block.

Dog Squad officers found and arrested the pair a short time later.

A 23-year-old Wilsonton man has been charged with burglary, two counts of unlawful use of a motor vehicle and dangerous operation of a vehicle, evading police, trespass and traffic offences.

He was denied police bail and was due to appear in Murgon Magistrates Court on Tuesday.

A 14-year-old Cherbourg girl was charged with two counts of unlawful use of motor vehicle, and one count each of burglary and trespass.

She was also wanted on an outstanding arrest warrant for robbery.
