A teenage driver has been fined $1845 after police clocked him allegedly travelling at 171km/h on the Wide Bay Highway at Lower Wonga last week.
Goomeri Police intercepted a Ford Everest travelling east on the highway about 4:30pm.
A 17-year-old Kilkivan man was issued a speeding ticket for $1845 and eight demerit points.

Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding a caravan fire on a property off the D’Aguilar Highway in the early hours of Wednesday morning.
Emergency services were called about 2:10am to an address at South Nanango following reports a caravan was on fire.
Two fire crews attended the incident but found the fire had already been extinguished.
A police spokesperson said investigations were ongoing.
A QAS spokesperson said no patients were reported at the incident.
