Manar Park managers Frank and Cathy Blinco have announced that their lease of the popular off-road recreation park at Boondooma has not been renewed.
The pair broke their sad news on Facebook on July 14.
They will cease operations at the park – which caters for 4WDs and off-road buggies as well as dirt bikes – on October 31.
But is doesn’t look like they will be winding down activities in the meantime.
This weekend they have planned a “Dirt Angels Dust Up Adventure Weekend” for female dirt bike riders of all abilities.
Their last “buggy-only” weekend will be August 1-4.
And their big “farewell” weekend event will be October 5-7, the Kings Birthday Holiday long weekend.
As the organisers are expecting a big turnout for this last hurrah, paramedics from Elite Medical Response have been booked to be on site for the duration of the long weekend.
The rescue helicopter should probably be there too… hopefully no one else needs it
