Police have charged a 25-year-old man following an alleged attempted armed robbery at Goomeri on Tuesday night.
A police spokesperson said it would be alleged that about 6:00pm, the man approached a vehicle in Shaw Street, near the Burnett Highway, and threatened two occupants with a knife.
It will be further alleged he attempted to assault the passenger, a 49-year-old Takura woman.
However, during the struggle, the man suffered a stab wound himself before fleeing on foot.
The wound was not life-threatening.
The driver, a 52-year-old Takura man, was not physically injured.
The man was taken into police custody at Redcliffe Hospital about 9:00am on Wednesday.
He has been charged with two counts of attempted armed robbery and is due to appear in Redcliffe Magistrates Court on Thursday (July 25).
