Kilkivan State School P&C is one of 25 across Australia to receive a $2000 boost, thanks to the 2024 CRT Primary Schools Program.

Schools are eligible to apply for a donation from the rural retail group if they are located within the footprint of one of CRT’s stores.

In Kilkivan’s case, it was Nedloh Rural in Goomeri.

CRT spokesperson Rebecca Gay said the group received more than 100 applications this year.

“(It was) a challenging task for the selection panel to narrow it down to the 25 successful applicants,” she said.

“CRT stores are local employers in many regional communities, and schools play a vital role in these areas.

“We believe investing in primary schools is an investment in a smart, strong, and confident future for regional Australia.”

Applications for the 2025 round of the program will open in March next year.
