A hearing began in Kingaroy Magistrates Court on Monday into animal cruelty charges laid after animal rights activists flew a drone over Swickers’ pig abattoir in Kingaroy in 2022.
The drone allegedly captured images of workers at the plant.
Robert John Parker and Cody James Swann face two counts each of animal cruelty.
The hearing has been set down for four days, and is scheduled to continue on Friday.
UPDATE: The matter has been listed for hearing in Kingaroy Magistrates Court on October 21-23.
