Award-winning Sunshine Coast artist Jane Ericksen has begun her unique “artist-in-residence” stint at the Kingaroy Regional Art Gallery.
Jane, who was the overall winner of the gallery’s prestigious David Bryce Award this year, will be working in the gallery’s front room from Tuesday, May 21, to Saturday, May 25.
People are invited to drop in at any time between 10:00am and 3:00pm daily to have a chat or watch her work.
Jane said she plans to do work on a couple of pieces at the same time, maybe a landscape and a portrait.
She is staying at the historic Taabinga Homestead which has inspired her to do “something retro”.
An exhibition of her works – “Deepening The Mystery” – is currently filling the main gallery.
Admission is free.
