Queensland police are hunting a 44-year-old man believed to be responsible for an assault – and theft of a vehicle – near Goomeri on Thursday afternoon.
Allan Hopkins, 44, is wanted by South Australian police.
Police believe he may be responsible for an incident at a property south of Goomeri about 2:00pm on Thursday.
A man was struck with a hammer and his vehicle stolen.
Hopkins is wanted for alleged serious sexual offending involving a child under the age of 18 in South Australia.
He is described as Caucasian, 185cm tall, of solid build, with short brown hair, brown eyes and a skull tattoo on his right upper arm.
He was spotted at hotel drive-thru in Adelaide on May 2.
On May 3 he was seen at a pharmacy in Millicent in the south-east of the State.
He was in Victoria on May 4 where he allegedly fled a roadside intercept.
On May 6, his vehicle was seen on the Barrier Highway in NSW.
At this time he was travelling in a Mazda BT50 utility but has since dumped this vehicle.
