The Burnett Inland Economic Development Organisation (BIEDO) will host a “hire differently” morning conference for employers in Kingaroy, but places to take part are very limited.
BIEDO and School To Employment Connections (STEC) will be holding the event from 6:30am on Thursday, May 30, at the KCCI Business Hub in Kingaroy Street.
Employers have been invited to share the problems they are facing in engaging employees, and hear from experts on how they can solve their workforce shortages.
As well as the guest speakers, there will be an opportunity to talk to representatives from a local job board, hiring agencies, relevant community groups and various government departments.
The event is free but there are only 35 spaces available.
Breakfast and a snack lunch will be provided as well as a “goodie bag”.
“We are excited to bring together the community’s brightest minds and resources to support businesses struggling to hire workforce,” BIEDO general manager Mistrel Badesso said.
“This event is a fantastic opportunity for our local businesses and future workforce to connect directly with hiring experts and support agencies, aligning with our commitment to economic development and employment in the inland regions.”
The event has been funded by the State Government as part of Small Business Month.
Tickets can be booked on the BIEDO website
