Kumbia Neighbourhood Watch and the Kingaroy Police have joined together to host a joint awareness day in Kingaroy on May 7.
From 8:30am to 10:30am, South Burnett residents have been invited to come along for “Coffee With A Cop” near Donut King in Kingaroy Shoppingworld.
The volunteers from Neighbourhood Watch will also have a display to mark Domestic Violence Awareness Month as well as information about anti-theft number plate screws, personal safety and home security.
Coffee With A Cop is an opportunity for residents to ask any questions they may have about local policing.
It is a state-wide initiative by the QPS to give members of the community the opportunity to talk to local police about any issues, concerns, or questions they have, all while sharing a cup of coffee together.
