Police are investigating the sudden death of a man in Kingaroy in the early hours of Sunday morning.
A spokeperson confirmed that about 4:40am, a man aged in his 30s presented at Kingaroy Hospital with a life-threatening knife wound.
He died a short time later.
The police spokesperson said next of kin were yet to be notified.
Investigations are continuing but there is believed to be no ongoing threat to the public.
Police also believe there is no link to an incident which occurred in Kingaroy on February 18 during which a man was allegedly slashed.

UPDATE March 13: Police investigating the sudden death of a man in Kingaroy on March 10 are treating it as non-suspicious.
Police will prepare a report for the Coroner.
