The Queensland State Emergency Service will be holding an Open Day in the South Burnett later this month so residents can find out more about the service.
Area controller Brenton Phillips said there would be equipment on show, volunteers available for a chat as well as a free sausage sizzle.
The open day will run from 11:00am to 2:00pm on Saturday, March 23, at the Kingaroy SES Group headquarters at 5 Glendon Street.
The barbecue will fire up at 12:30pm.
The SES will also be acknowledging recent donations to the service.
