South Burnett community organisations have been invited to submit applications to the Tarong Community Partnership Fund for projects that will create long-lasting benefits for the region.

Applications for the second round of the 2023-24 Community Partnership Fund are now open and will close on Monday, April 1.

“We are keen to receive applications from local groups with a community-led project that is in the final planning stages,” a Stanwell spokesperson said.

“The kind of projects the fund supports should deliver long-term benefits such as improvements in employment, access to critical services, educational opportunities and social connectedness.”

To be eligible for funding, applicants must show their project meets at least one of the following criteria:

  • Facilitates a collaborative approach to social connectedness
  • Leads to increased employment
  • Improves access to and/or sustainability of existing critical services
  • Enhances educational opportunities and personal leadership, or
  • Builds community economic capacity, preparedness and resilience

Groups who need assistance to submit an application or would like to express an interest in applying should contact the Stanwell Stakeholder Engagement Southern team by phoning (07) 4160-9251 or by email.
