Wild social media comments about an incident in the South Burnett have been proven wrong … again.
On Friday, there was speculation about a body being found near the Wattle Camp transfer station.
However, as usual, the Facebook posts were exaggerated gossip.
Emergency services were called to Franklin Road in the early afternoon after reports a person was threatening self-harm.
A police spokesperson said the situation was successfully resolved, and no one was hurt.
A man aged in his 30s was taken to hospital for assessment.
