Kingaroy will host the final of the prestigious Goodchild Shield senior cricket competition this Sunday at Lyle Vidler Oval.
The South Burnett XI are hosting the final after blazing through the three rounds undefeated.
In a replay of last year’s competition, they will be facing up against second placegetters Bundaberg.
The action is due to start at 9:00am.
The Goodchild Shield is a four-way competition between senior sides from Gympie, Bundaberg, the Fraser Coast and South Burnett.
South Burnett players selected to take on Bundy on Sunday are: Tom Currin, Harry Sippel, Nathan Roderick, Nick Sanewski, Lehman Brunjes, Brenton Polzin, Riley Sippel, Trent Riddell (c), Ashley Sippel, Matthew Dugdell, Jared Sippel and Kieran Askin.
The two sides last met on January 21 in Kingaroy.
South Burnett bowled out Bundaberg for 108 and then overtook the target in 20.5 overs for the loss of just three wickets.

Round 5 of the Intercity Challenge between junior regional teams was played at Gympie on Sunday:

The first round of new year fixtures in the 2023-24 South Burnett Junior Cricket competition were played on Saturday (February 3).
It was a big day for the Stage 3 players, who had the opportunity to test their skills on the grass pitch at Lyle Vidler Oval in Kingaroy.
Many of the young players then stayed to watch the seniors game between Kingaroy Services Blue and Wooroolin Warriors.
