Applications will open next month for Round 1 of Wambo Wind Farm’s 2024 Community Benefit Fund.
The pre-construction rounds of the Community Benefit Fund, supported by Cubico and Renewable Energy Partners, have already provided $57,600 in funding to various community projects, including at Ironpot Farmers Hall and the Bell Golf Club.

The wind farm, a joint venture between Cubico and Stanwell Corporation, is located south-west of Kingaroy.
Initially there will be 42 turbines generating 252MW of electricity.
Stage 1 construction is ramping up across the site.
Concrete pours for the turbine foundations have almost reached the halfway point.
The first shipment of turbine components have arrived at the Port of Brisbane where they will be stored until public road upgrades are completed for their delivery.
Local residents have been invited to find out more information at a “coffee catch-up” at Wombat’s Cafe and Grill, Jandowae, from 8:00am to 11:00am on February 9.
