Police are searching for a silver Mazda BT-50 ute which has a distinctive, damaged white front bumper bar.

They are seeking information about the vehicle, which has been linked to a shooting in Chinchilla earlier this month.

Just before 1:30pm on December 5, three people confronted a 36-year-old male resident at a house in Rodger Street.

During the altercation, the man suffered a gunshot wound to his neck.

The group then fled in a silver ute with a white bumper.

The wounded man was airlifted in a serious condition from Chinchilla to the Princess Alexandra Hospital in Brisbane.

Anyone who has seen the vehicle, has dashcam footage or knows where the vehicle is now have been urged to contact police immediately.

If the vehicle is sighted, do not approach the vehicle or occupants.

UPDATE July, 2, 2024: A 23-year-old Dalby man was charged on June 14 with attempted murder, armed robbery, attempted armed robbery, receiving tainted property and unlicensed driving; two counts of evading police, three counts of unlawful use of a motor vehicle, and five counts of enter and commit.

A 25-year-old Dalby woman has been charged with attempted murder, attempted armed robbery, armed robbery, dangerous operation of a vehicle, evading police, driving a motor vehicle while unlicensed and two counts of unlawful use of motor vehicle.

The wanted vehicle was recovered in northern NSW.
