South Burnett’s senior cricketers played a T20 friendly last Saturday during the festive break from the regular competition.
Kingaroy Services Blue (7/157) defeated Nanango Scorpions (6/153) by three wickets.
In the Gympie A Grade One-Day competition, Murgon Crusaders (156 all out in the last over) defeated Wooroolin Warriors (142 all out in the 39th) by 14 runs at Murgon Showgrounds.
Matthew Springate took 5/28 off 7.4 overs for Warriors, while captain Brent Polzin starred with the ball for Murgon, taking 4/19 off five overs.
Warriors is leading the A Grade table with 27 points, just three ahead of Crusaders.

A number of South Burnett junior players were selected for Wide Bay duties in carnivals this week:
- Under 12s – Deegan Zemek
- Under 13s – Tiffany Cook, Bianca McCrea, Darcy Harmsworth and Joe Carney
- Under 14s – Theo Kelly and Byron Kratzmann
- Under 15s – Josie Black, MacKenzie Bourke and Isabella Eisenmenger
- Under 16s – Lawson Black, Lochlan Burrows, Jackson Kerkow, Tom Town and James Whiteman

Current and former South Burnett cricketers starred in the final of the Over 50s National Veterans Cricket Championship played at Junction Oval in Melbourne on December 7.
Ashley Sippel and Andrew and Mark Kratzmann were playing in the Queensland Droughtmasters Division 1 side against Victoria.
Victoria won the toss and elected to bowl.
Opener Mark Kratzmann made 22, including three boundaries, before being caught out.
Andrew Kratzmann hit a quickfire century, 128 runs off 126 balls, including 17 fours and three sixes, before he, too, was caught out.
Ashley Sippel finished not out 30 off 15 balls.
Droughtmasters (7/238) defeated Victoria (6/227) by 11 runs.
Murgon’s Troy Dennien was selected in the Droughtmasters Division 3 team, and was 51 not out against the NSW Emus in their Pool game.
