October 20, 2023
The South Burnett Race Club will be holding its annual Caulfield Cup race meeting – always one of its biggest meetings of the year – at the Wondai Racecourse on Saturday (October 21).
It will be a five-race meeting and the first race will leave the barriers at 1:35pm.
As usual, the meeting will feature an on-course TAB, live telecasts of interstate races, an undercover betting ring, barbecue and bar, as well as the Lady Luck Cocktail Bar.
This meeting’s theme is “Spring Florals” and guests who dress to it can compete in the Fashions Of The Field competition for great prizes.
The fashion competition will be open to women and men and boys and girls.
Gates will open at the track about 11:30am and the feature race of the day – the Roy and Glenis Radunz Wondai Cup – will leave the barriers at 4:05pm.
Saturday’s meeting is being sponsored by Peries IGA Wondai, Seiler Earthmoving, Hobbs & Associates Accounting and Roy and Glenis Radunz.
Admission to the racecourse is $10, and guests should bring cash because there is no EFTPOS available on site.
