The new electorate office for the southern half of the massive Federal electorate of Flynn was opened on Wednesday in Gayndah.

Nationals Leader David Littleproud did the honours, alongside Flynn MP Colin Boyce.

The new office,  at 39 Capper Street, will be open on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 9:00am to 4:00pm.

Mr Boyce said residents in the southern part of the Flynn electorate – which includes Wondai and Proston – won’t have to drive as far to visit one of his offices.

“The electorate of Flynn is over 132,000 sq km and is almost twice the size of Tasmania,” Mr Boyce said.

“It stretches from the Central Highlands to the west, Gracemere to the north, Gladstone to the east and Wondai to the south while taking in the towns in between.

“Residents in the southern part of the Flynn electorate can now make enquiries about Centrelink, Veterans’ Affairs, citizenship, passports, flags and congratulatory messages for birthdays and wedding anniversaries locally at my Gayndah Office.

“Make sure to say g’day to my fantastic new staff member, Taylor.”

Mr Boyce also has Electorate Offices in Gladstone and Emerald which are open from 9:00am-4:00pm, Monday to Friday.
