Police are investigating the discovery of human remains in the Okeden area.
A spokesperson confirmed that a member of the public had reported the discovery of human remains near a creek at Okeden.
They reportedly found the body on Monday.
The spokesperson said a crime scene had been declared while investigations continued.
Sunwater issued a notice on Tuesday morning that Boondooma Dam was closed “until further notice”.
“This closure is due to a police matter,” the statement continued.
“Visitors to the dam are advised there will be no boating or fishing access to the dam until further notice.
“Sunwater will provide an update as soon as the dam is reopened.
“We thank the community for their support.”
No further information is available at present.

UPDATE 2: Sunwater has notified that, on police advice, Boondooma Dam, has been reopened to the public for on-water and land activities.
South Burnett Regional Council CEO Mark Pitt said Council had been in contact with the regulatory agencies and could foresee no issues with the safety and maintenance of the water supply from the dam.
