A 41-year-old Cherbourg woman has been charged with assaulting police after an alleged incident on Wednesday evening.
Police will allege the woman punched a police officer in the head, hitting her ear and cheek.
The woman then allegedly spat on two officers, striking one of them on the arm and one on the back of the neck.
Police had attended a house in Alan Douglas Avenue at Cherbourg about 7:30pm to arrest a man in relation to another matter.
It will be alleged the assaults occurred as the man was being led to the police vehicle.
The woman is due to appear in Murgon Magistrates Court on September 19 to face two charges of serious assault of a police officer, and serious assault of a police officer causing bodily harm.
