Action from one of the heats during the Kingaroy Bees’ club day events on Saturday

The Kingaroy Junior Motorcycle Speedway Club hosted two club events on Saturday, with the junior riders keen to earn points towards the annual championship.

There were a dozen young riders competing on the Kingaroy Showgrounds track: seven in 125cc and five in 250cc (results, below).

The racing was as tight as ever, with riders from North Queensland and NSW joining in with the regular competitors.

A highlight of the day was a few demonstration laps by a junior speedway sidecar.
