Young people aged 12-24 in the South Burnett are being asked to “Talk About” their experiences with local health providers.
There are more than 100,000 young people aged 12-24 in the PHN’s region – which includes the South Burnett, and 9 in 10 attend their local GP every year.
Now their feedback is being sought about their experiences in a confidential online survey
The Darling Downs and West Moreton PHN’s “Talk About” survey aims to explore young people’s health-related concerns, eg. where to go for help or information, and barriers for accessing support.
“Supporting the mental and physical health and wellbeing of children and young people in our region is a priority for our PHN,” CEO Lucille Chalmers said.
“Our role is to support in the planning and commissioning of youth services to support young people with their mental health and wellbeing, physical health, and alcohol and other drugs.”
The survey will help PHN understand healthcare experiences from young people’s perspectives.
“We want to hear first-hand what is working well, and what can be done to make things better,” Ms Chalmers said.
- The online survey will close at midnight on Wednesday, September 6.
