TAFE Queensland’s “collab-boar-ation” with Kingaroy BaconFest is on again this year.

Acting Regional Director Kylie Lee said the TAFE team and students were excited to support the three-day event again.

“We’re particularly looking forward to seeing celebrity chef Miguel Maestre in action during his cooking demonstrations on the TAFE Queensland stage,” Ms Lee said.

Cookery students are also preparing and packaging a tasty BaconFest-inspired treat, supported by Sunpork.

The students have designed three distinct flavour versions of Bacon Brittle for this year’s Taste of TAFE.

The brittle will be available to taste test for free at the TAFE Queensland stand.

Kingaroy’s annual celebration of everything porcine will be held from August 18-20.

NB. The winners of the Kingaroy Chamber of Commerce and Industry’s BaconFest window competition will be announced at the association’s next meet’n’greet on August 1.
